We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of our site while shaping the future of our operations. This is a key leadership position responsible for delivering production outcomes, building high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement across the site.
You will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations, while contributing to strategic initiatives as part of the Site Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all site operations to deliver production targets, budgets, and KPIs
Champion a strong safety-first culture, driving our Zero Harm journey
Ensure full compliance with food safety, HACCP, and regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational excellence (OPS)
Lead, coach, and develop teams to build capability and succession pipelines
Optimise plant performance, OEE, and cost efficiencies
Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Logistics, Engineering, and Technical teams
Manage change initiatives and stakeholder relationships, including unions
About You
You are a hands-on leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for operational excellence. You thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments and know how to inspire teams to deliver results.
You will bring:
Proven experience in a senior operations or manufacturing leadership role
Strong background in FMCG, food production, or short shelf-life environments
Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and change
Experience leading large teams and building capability
Solid understanding of food safety, quality, and compliance standards
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar (or equivalent experience)
Desirable: Lean, Six Sigma, or CI experience; exposure to automation and logistics systems (WMS/TMS)
