This is a key leadership position responsible for delivering production outcomes, building high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement across the site. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations, while contributing to strategic initiatives as part of the Site Leadership Team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of our site while shaping the future of our operations. This is a key leadership position responsible for delivering production outcomes, building high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

You will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations, while contributing to strategic initiatives as part of the Site Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all site operations to deliver production targets, budgets, and KPIs
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture, driving our Zero Harm journey
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, HACCP, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational excellence (OPS)
  • Lead, coach, and develop teams to build capability and succession pipelines
  • Optimise plant performance, OEE, and cost efficiencies
  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Logistics, Engineering, and Technical teams
  • Manage change initiatives and stakeholder relationships, including unions

About You

You are a hands-on leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for operational excellence. You thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments and know how to inspire teams to deliver results.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior operations or manufacturing leadership role
  • Strong background in FMCG, food production, or short shelf-life environments
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and change
  • Experience leading large teams and building capability
  • Solid understanding of food safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Desirable: Lean, Six Sigma, or CI experience; exposure to automation and logistics systems (WMS/TMS)
