We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Wacol. This is a hands-on role with exposure to core accounting, month-end close, transactional finance, and compliance. 
 
What you’ll do 

• Support with month-end and year-end close (journals & balance sheet reconciliations)  

• Assist across AR/AP, including master data and ledger management 

• Support with customer pricing, claims and promotions processing 

• Assist with treasury activities (bank recs, payments, credit cards) 

• Maintain fixed asset and fleet registers 

• Support with all key compliance activities (BAS, FBT, Annual Tax Return) 

• Contribute to internal/external audits, process improvements and documentation 

• Partner with key stakeholders across the business to resolve issues 

About You 

You’re an organised, proactive accountant who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and working across transactional, reporting, and compliance activities. You’re eager to continue learning and growing while working in fast paced environment. 

You’ll bring: 

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance (CA/CPA commenced or planned) 

• 2+ years’ experience in accounting or finance (FMCG experience is a bonus) 

• Exposure to Bills of Materials (BOMs) or product costing highly regarded 

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset 

• Confident communicator who has a hands-on, collaborative working style 

• Strong Excel skills, with mid-size ERP and Power BI experience advantageous
