Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the VFFS (Vertical Form Fill Seal) bagging machine in a fast-paced environment.
• Set up the machine correctly for each production run, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes to maintain efficiency and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any machine issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a machine operator, specifically with VFFS baggers in an FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of machine operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.

About the Role:

We’re currently seeking a motivated Production Machine Operator to join our team at our salad processing facility on a full time basis in Smeaton Grange, Sydney. You will be responsible for working on the production lines and effectively meeting strict food quality standards.

A Day in the Life:

• Achieve output and line speed targets within set timeframes.
• Work in fast-paced production lines, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Ensure food safety standards are met.

About You:

• Proactive with a can-do attitude and a strong interest in continuous improvement.
• Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 10 kg.
• Willing to work in a cold environment (between 2-4 degrees); PPE provided to keep you warm!
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Eager to learn and adapt to daily challenges.
• Experience in the FMCG food industry is highly regarded but not essential.
• Available to work weekends when required.
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
