IT Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead and continuously evolve innovative IT platforms and services across a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment.  

Reporting to the Head of IT, this role has end-to-end accountability for IT operations and platform performance, including service management, infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, vendor performance and major incident management. You will lead, mentor and build high performing, customer focused operations and service desk teams. You will also act as the senior technical escalation point ensuring technology reliably supports manufacturing continuity and business operations.  

The role provides executive and board-level assurance through ownership of material technology and cyber risks, operational resilience and major incident governance. You will drive the adoption of AIOps and intelligent monitoring to proactively detect service degradation, reduce incidents and improve visibility of operational health.  

Key responsibilities  

• Develop high performing, customer-focused operations teams   

• Own innovative platform and service management across manufacturing and corporate environments  

• Lead ITIL aligned service management, including major incident response and continual improvement  

• Act as senior technical escalation point during complex or high-impact incidents  

• Manage infrastructure across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments  

• Drive operational cybersecurity controls, resilience and AIOps adoption  
    

About you  

• Proven IT operations leadership in a complex, multi-site environment  

• Strong service management capability with an innovation and improvement mindset  

• Calm, structured and decisive under pressure with strong communication and influencing skills  

• Experience in manufacturing or other asset-intensive industries  

• Please note this is a full time, site based role.
